We do get new boarders. They come, they meet our dogs and visitors and we see how it goes. He was hesitant at 1st but then he started relaxing. He started interacting with the others and ate in the crowd. He made the leap and they all do. The timing is different for each. He quickly adapted where others it takes them the day to trust and relax. It does my heart good when a dog relaxes and enjoys. That is what our home is - a way to enjoy. Even if I am having a bad day, the dogs having a good day changes my mood. They just do. I am happy when they are happy.
So, Teddy - you are welcome here anytime.
Now for the rest of the dogs - bravo for you being you and welcoming a newbie. You were the best. It is like going to a party with strangers and no one speaks to you and you can't wait to get out of there. But when you are received well - you want to come back and that is what is really important. You can't tell dogs to receive a newbie. They do or they don't and we are lucky that the dogs here look forward to a newbie.
Today was a good day. Coco has departed. She is missed.
