Ms Harlow

We lost Harlow today. She had a bath 2 days ago. Went in to get her tummy drained and came home and she quickly deteriorated. Lots of losses lately - none are easy and weighs heavily on you. Life is not always fair.

Oh the Fun of It

Jamie had a blast with the pups. I guess he remembers what it was like to play with a havanese puppy. 

It is downright cold outside. I know as it was me that took them out several times.

Harlow is not doing well despite draining her. I am thoroughly upset so I may go to exercise seeing Nathan is back from the vets with her. I need to de-stress. I mean I really need to. 

Everyone else is having a blast.

Nava was not pleased with me grooming her today in a huge way. We do it to get her knot free. 

We are warming blankets for the dogs including Harlow. They love warm blankets so.

Bailey arrived today and is playing her heart out!

Kitchen Play

It was a low key day. Harlow had a bath. Murphy and Jamie and yes Charlotte too arrived. So did Tenshi.

Harlow did not want to go back out today other than this morning. It is cold and her belly is getting full so it makes the stairs troublesome for her but otherwise she didn't mind the bath. Usually she sees me in the grooming jacket and looks at me as if to say really? 

Jamie likes Stryker. Charlotte just looks at him. It is a riot as if to say are you trouble?

I always give a duck treat after a comb out. I combed Cinnamon out and forgot to give her a treat. She reminded me of my forgetfulness. I laugh.

We had an enjoyable dinner and I got popcorn which I mistakenly left in the kitchen and Dennis ate 3/4 of it. Guess he likes movie popcorn too. 

It is Dennis day off tomorrow and Nathan's on Friday. 

Still don't have a part for the 3d printer so it is still sitting at the front door. I am looking at what I can make to test it with. LOL

Just a Dusting?

Simba and Hazel was having a great time playing in that white stuff. So were the other dogs.

It is our anniversary so the blog will be short. We have gift cards for the Keg so that is where we will eat. I may pick up a popcorn after. We shall see. It is a low key day of festivities.

Dogs seem to like the white stuff. I like to look at it but not hang out in it. 

No Gallery Day

Stryker is off to the last puppy class. I had an extremely busy day so no photos - sorry. I will make up for it tomorrow. Ruby, Winston and Logan and Panda are departing today. 

Tomorrow is our anniversary. We are just going to have a meal and call it a day unfortunately. Maybe a pup departs tomorrow - maybe not. We do not know yet but have to wash the pup. 

Still waiting for a part that is sitting in a warehouse waiting for Fed ex for my 3d printer so its sitting still at the front door. After pups depart I will fret but now its whenever.

It feels damp cold but Harlow seems to love it. I hate cold. She seems to not want to come in till she must so I freeze and she investigates. Have to laugh. Whatever she enjoys is doable to me.

Jamie and Charlotte are coming - hooray...

I hate winter but as usual, we all deal. 

Snow But Not Much and Still Leaves

It snowed. It was wet snow but no snowballs. Mostly the dogs loved it even Harlow. Jeannie said the hey with that when she looked. We heated up towels and they dug their way into warmth.They were in heaven. They do appreciate that extra touch. Anything I can do to make them feel comfortable.

Gibson, Ruby and Winston depart tomorrow. They are some of the huge players. Maybe the rest will nap the day away. LOL We will find out.

For now Dennis and I will watch tv and chill with the dogs all over us.

Oh a Foreign Visitor

Nami and Winston had an immense amount of fun today.

The rest of the dogs especially the schnauzer had a hunting game after an opossum. Who knew we had one in the yard but they knew and the chase was on. Dennis called them all back in and they actually all listened in mass and then went to see if anyone hurt it. It was walking away when he found it so he figures not. 

I think this critter found the wrong yard to hang around in. Have no idea where its burrow is but must be somewhere. When it is light, we will scope out the entire yard. 

Nathan is off to class tonight. I didn't go as we have dogs departing. Winston is missing Stryker.

We had 2 pups depart today. None tomorrow and one on Sunday. 

What can I say... the dogs were wild crazy after that event and they are just now settling in. The schnauzer wants to go out badly but we are not letting the dogs out till just before bed and then they will be out with all of us. The opossum will not hurt the dogs. It is the dogs than can hurt it. So out of precaution...

Still Leafed

The leaves are still out and no longer in piles. It is Dennis day off and I need to get pups upstairs then finish the bags for the pups departing tomorrow. 

I groomed dogs I didn't have time for so it was me grooming surrounded by dogs as Nathan went to the vet and Global and Dennis slept. He actually slept till 230pm. How decadent is that? 

Elvis and Rosey will depart soon. I have to take the pups upstairs then finish bags. Oh and do the Yoshi blog after all that. I don't have time now.

It is exceedingly busy but fun. Does that make sense but oh boy I need time off as I can't keep this pace day in and day out. 

But I went out with the dogs. I clicked photos. I played with them. I ran around with them and decided 10 minutes of SN exercise was good enough.

Life will calm down but not today. LOL

Fun in the House

We had Winston the puppy arrive last night and Winston the older dog come today for the day. They rather liked each other but Nathan is smitten. Something about pups and he can't get enough. I think Stryker and Winston are making up for lost time. They play from morning till night time. 

They are having fun and the schnauzer Gibson is adapting to their small size and finally learning to dumb down his play. Plus the pups are fun and he is learning that. It is not fun if not allowed to play with them.

Dogs had an immense amount of fun.

Saturday's puppy is not going home till later due to a family emergency. Do not worry about it. We have 2 till the 6th and if he remains for a bit, that is okay. We will indoctrinate him into the house and he will have Stryker. 

We had spitting rain and wetness outside so there has been a lot of play indoors

Happy 3rd Birthday

Josie is turning three today - the time is flying by! - and I thought you might enjoy a quick update and pictures. Josie is doing well and continues to find and bring joy wherever she goes. She’s loving the colder weather and running around in the snow (although less keen on her boots). She’s also just about to start some “tricks” classes that I know she’s going to love - she’s a big fan of anything she can learn quickly that will earn her lots of treats! 

Josie continues to be popular wherever she goes - with both people and dogs. She’s always getting complimented for her sweet temperament and of course her cuteness :)

As I write this, she is currently curled up with me on the couch - while she loves to play, she’s always just as happy to hang with her people. I love her very much, and I’m so grateful to you for bringing us together. She’s such a special dog, and I’m thankful to have her in my life.

It's my day off and I have been spending it doing puppy packs and I am far from done with 2 departing on Friday so this blog will be short.

Leaves are not done in back. It is raining and miserable and well the dogs have fun anyways.

Want to say thank you to Ronnie for taking me out to dinner. It has been so long since I went out to eat and I have been stressed beyond belief for many reasons. So appreciate THIS!

Let's see, ink on my sublimation printer rollers which has set be behind in doing puppy bags, regular printer lines through everything. Feeling awful as Dennis ipad not repairable. Nathan and his medical tests - I know could be worse. It can always be worse. You don't want to know what else has broken. I don't either. Let's pretend nothing broke.

Harlow's dad came to see her. She was so delighted to see him and went to Wendy's for a burger. She ate the rest tonight. She took a long nap after he departed. Not sure wht she was so tired but she had a Nathan snooze 3 hours. That is what Nathan does too. 

Sad about pups going but happy genuinely for the new owners. These are fabulous pups. I have so many bags and items out in the hall, you could look and go oh no that hoarder lady but I pile it every which way till the bags are full then I put them all away and take out the bags for the pups departing. It looks like a mess, at the moment. I hate it being so cluttered but it is cluttered organized so only I know what is what. I am laughing!

It is my day off tomorrow. I will spend it doing puppy bags as I must. Just a reality. Or maybe stay up mega late tonight and sleep in tomorrow. The dogs wouldn't allow but fun to think about.

A Nami puppy is coming to stay tomorrow night and Stryker will be so happy and so will Nami. We will be too!

We have a schnauzer puppy here and we are teaching him to dumb down his play with Stryker. It is making Stryker too rough with the pups. That is unfortunate. I think we are making headway. We missed class. Nathan was not up to it.

Dogs were jumping through Dennis leaf piles. He finally got most picked up but the dogs had fun with the piles till he put them back inside. Dogs will be dogs. LOL

Busy Times

We had a lot of fun times the last few days. The weather semi cooperated. Axel who is close to the ground vs jumping up like Gibson is getting a baby sister called Heartbreaker and he was already playing with her and she with him. It is a great match as they really like each other and Axel is a huge player and needs the play.

Tomorrow Nathan has to go in for a cystoscopy then Wednesday he goes back for the results. No waiting this time.

Friday pups start departing and I am not done getting stuff ready so I have to get with it. I have been doing things as much as possible. As a matter of fact, I was doing this blog and went OMG I forgot the press was on so I could put the names on the bags. So, I just did and here I am back blogging. I still have many many things to make so I may stay up late tonight.

David is coming to see Harlow tomorrow. She will be so thoroughly happy. 

I also have to get the pups upstairs to play, do dishes, clean and sterilize the pen and do the floors etc so late night for bed for me.

Playing Is Part Of It

Yes, they play. They go outside and play more and investigate. They chill when they are tired and they do get tired. 

Tomorrow Nami is going to have a visit from one of her pups and I bet she is going to be excited. Ella is going to have a visit from one of hers. How fun that will be!

Dennis created a pile of leaves today and Lola ran through it making the leaves fly every which way. The others watched and duddnly they joined and and the pile was no more. It happens.

It has been a truly fun house today but I am so far behind. We just have visitors depart and I need to upload the videos of the puppies. I will get to it. 

It has been decent weather out for deep fall or is it winter? 

Can't wait till we have dogs running in snow. I may have to put on snowpants for that. It can wait. We still have leaves on the ground despite Dennis picking up so many. 

Happy 13th

We can’t believe Nora is 13!  She’s still running after her favourite stuffie at top speed and people ask if she’s a puppy on walks. She’s enjoying getting all the attention here and being our princess. 

Brewer is 13 too and he had a blast here. Daddy is picking him up now! He had steak tonight!

Cause It is My Day Off

Here is the gallery. Think there are some duplicates from yesterday. Dennis was using a camera that had the wrong date. We are on a roll. 

Oakley and Chicklet have been playing up a storm. 

I am doing a very short blog as it is my day off. We just have been too busy. I burnt my food. I never burn my food but did today. 

Dennis is doing leaves so that interferes with how many photos he can take as he has extra on his plate as it is my day off. That is how it works. 

We took Stryker and Hallie for a walk around the block. I watched a gardening company blow leaves out to the street then run a mulcher over it. Really? I am unimpressed. By the way, Stryker and Hallie had a grand time on their walk. He only reacted to them turned on their mulcher as we were passing. Hallie never reacted so he went oh - no issue.

Late Blogging

I am late on this blog as tomorrow is my day off and I had a dog I had to groom just before bed as they changed the day of departure to tomorrow instead of today. So.... I just finished, Haven't done the dishes, made the coffee so it is freshly brewed for 7am - nada nor have I cleaned the pen. After blogging I best get to it. Nathan is already in bed. 

But good news so far none of the pups are sore. 

Dennis didn't take many photos. I think Hallie has a leaf on her face in one of them. Tenshi was sitting looking pretty. Dennis was doing leaves on and on and on all day and he is not done. He tells me he has to do it on my day off so I said to Nathan - going to the basement - exercising and I may watch my ipad in the basement after doing the 1st play session with the pups. Seems that is my day off. LOL

Oakley arrived and mauled Stryker in great fun. When I say mauled, they rolled around playing. Stryker loved it. 

Well, that is it. I best get my act together. 

The dogs are in bed - Nathan is in bed but Dennis and I are still working.

Dennis was testing night photography. I think he needs to hold the camera more steady but for 1st time - not bad. 

We are waiting for Hazel to be picked up. Nathan went to class with Stryker. I didn't go this time. Between not being able to take photos at class and needing to send off Hazel and do a blog - staying home made sense this week.

Dogs did have fun today. It was cool but not muddy - hooray!

Chiclet seems to be super attached to Nathan.
