Monday, November 2, 2026 at 5:01PM Only a few visitors here today. Lots of leaves. We need to take the plants in and we always manage a great run with the dogs and then they come back in tuckered out and resting and/or watching tv. What a life of fun and rest - how it should be for them.
It has been a good day and Vivi is fascinated by the squirrel activity.
Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 6:27PM It was a very busy day with a puppy visit, grooming and so much more.
Dogs have finally figured out Dennis is ruining their fun without the piles of leaves they adore. Dennis still hasn't taken in the plants and it si getting cold. Too much to do, so little time.
I still have videos to upload and I may grab a dog or two or three and watch some tv if I have time before bedtime.
Dogs had a great time. Vivi arrived, Leo is here. Dogs depart tomorrow. Rusty and Luna are having a great time. Brodie likes it quieter. I could go on but too tired to do so. So I may sit in the recliner and cuddle some dogs.
Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 7:39PM Is that title about me or Ella? I was just about to wash and cut Winston to depart and Ella crawled under the brush to come out with racoon poo all over her face and side. If you do not know, racoon poo smells exceedingly horrid. We didn't realize it was there as it was literally under thorns and brush but I guess Ella's nose is not broken. But why or why did she want to do that? So, Ella got priority. Then I did Winston who seemed like a dream after washing Ella with this stuff called Dirty Dog that should have released all that smell but it took 3 times. Thern there is Hallie who was licking her lips in a strong desire to have Nathan give her a treat but did he?
Oh, it started out to be a fun day with a puppy visit and ended with Ella.
It's been a day from fun to OMG!

Sorry no gallery today. I am not able to create one, at the moment but the dogs have had fun. I am already waiting for bedtime and doing things for puppy departures.
Winston departs tomorrow. We have a puppy visit and those leaves - shall we just mow them down? LOL
We had the temp inside set for 68f and the humans and dogs were unhappy. I put it up to 70f and still I feel cold. This is sillky crazy. Maybe I am allergic to winter and the dogs are too. I am not sure. But still - we had fun today!
Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 6:00PM We had rain mostly all day. We did get out between the rain but really it was mucky. Leaves were tracked in and they were honsely wanting to stay dry. Still, they had a ton if fun!
Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 6:38PM So much for picking up leaves. As much as Dennis picks them up, more fall. I think he needs to wait for all of them to fall.
I think the dogs are saying - so where are those piles so we can track that stuff inside. We like to give the humans challenges.
We have very few visitors, at the moment so it is quiet here.
Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 5:16PM Ozzy and Tenshi like each other. It is as if Ozzy is smitten by her. LOL
It is getting colder. The dogs like the cool.
We had a vet visit so a chunk of time was taken up but Dennis ran and ran with them. Then there are the squirrels. They are really enjoying squirrel watching. It is as if it is their tv.
Monday, October 26, 2026 at 6:56PM Maui needs a good brushing. He is departing tomorrow. We had a slew of dogs depart that it feels empty. They are chillin watching tv. We did have a bit of rain so those allergic to that wet stuff stayed inside.
A quiet home is a rarity here. They can play and run indoors too and so can I. LOL
Coco the maltese is here for a few days.
We found dogs that bark at animals on tv also bark at dragons. I am laughing!
Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 6:57PM Tuppy says it wasn't hot nor cold. It was great sitting outside weather and all the dogs enjoyed it.
I had a ton of grooming to do today and didn't get much sleep last night so feeling it but despite all of that - I managed to snuggle dogs and play with them.
It is so funny who barks at the tv and who doesn't. It's like one of those mob group of people who all come out with their instruments to play and make noise. It is just a doggy style of it. Not all dogs care about the tv but some do.
The dogs had fun today but at 7pm, I wish I could crawl into bed.
Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 6:53PM You can tell the cooler air is here. The squirrels are scrambling to store food, build nests and do all sorts of crazy stuff and the dogs are VERY interested.
It is a riot how intent they are in watching - not touching - just watching. It's as if they are saying - what are you doing?
Still, this is fun for them too. Yes, they like the runs but this fascination is like watching tv to them.
Friday, October 23, 2026 at 6:11PM Maui is like a little kid that was invited to a birthday party. He os so excited to play with the other dogs. usually he is just a groom but he stayed last night and perhaps tonight and he thinks he is in heaven. He prances, jumps and just has plain fun.
Ozzie arrived today and well no matter how old ozzie is, he has an inner child trapped in him and it simply won't let go. He is a terminal player. I have to laugh.
The 4 Kershaw dogs find new pals independently. it is wonderful to see. usually when they live together, they depend on what they know vs what could be. It's nice!
Thunder and Gibson were playing well today. Gibson is a different breed so it takes a bit to say - hmm do you play nice? They do and it is great exposure. Tuppy came in the door and looked at him as if to say - have I seen you before? It is comical reading their faces.
We have 2 Charlie's here. They have been here together before. Ollie is here for the weekend. He usually only comes every Friday for a playdate. He had his brother lachlan here that just departed along with Marlee.
We had a most incredibly close knit fun playing group that it did my heart good.
I was outside in a t-shirt and nathan said, it is NOT that warm. I actually enjoyed it and hope the white stuff stays away for a bit.
We have more leaves falling and need to get our plants in but need help so we are waiting for that. The pots are just too heavy.
Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 7:48PM It was great to have reena and her 3 gals visiting today. It made our day. It was so much fun.
They had a great time. They said their hellos and we talked and enjoyed the company.
The dogs played. I am having problems removing a ptfe tube from the printer than split so this will be short today.
Just realize that the dogs had a blast.
Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 6:37PM I want you to know I had combed these 2 dogs TODAY and look at them. All I can say is they are playing hard. They love the play.
I think Dennis got up most of the leaves. Some are still falling.
The crewhere is such a tight knit crew that they show signs of wonderful exhuberance when they interact. It makes me smile.
Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 7:47PM This is Ty. He is a senior these days and we watch him very closely as he tries to do stairs and he tries to jump but if you say Ty, NO - he listens. He departed today.
We also have Gibson, the schnauzer arrive. He is doing well. He likes it here and gets along with everyone.
The Kershaw dogs are way comfortable here. They are wonderful to have around.
Leo has now taken over the bed that Ty had. It is funny when a dog covets a spot and they depart, their spot is highly saught after.It is a riot.... so many subtle games they play.
Monday, October 19, 2026 at 8:56PM Had an insane day of grooming but now I am doing a fast update. Dogs were able to go outside and intimidate the squirrels. Don't get me wrong. They don't do anything bad. They just follow them around and gawk at them. I think they are fascinated.
We did manage to get a run in as I wanted that exercise and wanted them to enjoy.
I still have to do water dishes and it is trash day so I have to gather that so Dennis can get it out to the curb. He did the front yard leaves but they are still falling. Why not wait till they are all down? Can't do that. Someone stopped and helped him literally. Dennis tried to pay him from his own money and they refused and told him use a lawnmower next time and make mulch.
Sorry for the short blog. Just know they had fun!!!
Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 5:08PM We do get new boarders. They come, they meet our dogs and visitors and we see how it goes. He was hesitant at 1st but then he started relaxing. He started interacting with the others and ate in the crowd. He made the leap and they all do. The timing is different for each. He quickly adapted where others it takes them the day to trust and relax. It does my heart good when a dog relaxes and enjoys. That is what our home is - a way to enjoy. Even if I am having a bad day, the dogs having a good day changes my mood. They just do. I am happy when they are happy.
So, Teddy - you are welcome here anytime.
Now for the rest of the dogs - bravo for you being you and welcoming a newbie. You were the best. It is like going to a party with strangers and no one speaks to you and you can't wait to get out of there. But when you are received well - you want to come back and that is what is really important. You can't tell dogs to receive a newbie. They do or they don't and we are lucky that the dogs here look forward to a newbie.
Today was a good day. Coco has departed. She is missed.
Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 5:55PM The squirrels have become the neighbourhood's hottest entertainment, and the dogs have front-row seats! 🐿️🐾 The colder it gets, the busier those little furry acrobats become, and the more fascinated the dogs are. They don't even chase them! They just sit and watch with such intense concentration that you'd think they were watching the latest episode of their favourite TV show. Who needs Netflix when you have Squirrel TV?
It's been a busy day around here! Between grooming a few dogs, bathing puppies, and giving Momma Rain her spa treatment, I have barely stopped moving. I have finally sat down, and I think my feet are celebrating!
One of the highlights of my day was a visit from Sherry. I got to enjoy some wonderful Murphy snuggles AND catch up with Sherry. That combination is guaranteed to make any day a great one! ❤️
Meanwhile, Dennis is fighting a losing battle with Mother Nature. 🍂🍁 He's been working hard trying to rake up the leaves, but they're falling from the trees faster than he can collect them! Personally, I think he should surrender until the trees are bare, but Dennis is determined.
Of course, the dogs think this is the BEST GAME EVER! Dennis makes a beautiful pile of leaves, and the dogs happily take on the important job of redistributing them all over the yard. Teamwork at its finest... although I don't think Dennis sees it quite that way! 😂
Between the squirrel-watching committee, the puppy spa, wonderful visitors, and the great leaf battle of autumn, there's never a dull moment around here.
Friday, October 16, 2026 at 5:33PM After all that work with leaves, more fell and then it rained. It is like insult to injiry. The dogs did go out but mostly they played inside. They bring in leaves, we paw prints and a floor that has to be mopped and vacuumed constantly, if you care how it looks. It is rather funny!
The dogs, as you will see in the photos are chillin watching tv and yes some dogs bark at any animal on the tv. It is a riot!
Inside or out they do enjoy each other.
Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 6:31PM As you can see, the leaves are still there - well partially. He did pick up a significant amount and the dogs are no longer leaf bombing the piles. They coukd tell Dennis was not impressed. It is funny at first and then over and over again that laughter disappears until he just looks at them - no raised voice just a look and they get it. Okay, you are taking our fun away... boo hoo.
Last year he did this and significant leaves remain as he just couldn't do it over and over. He is thinking of putting out floodlights and doing it at night. So funny!
They played. I ran with them and they had significant fun despite Dennis being a party pooper.
Fun fall times and we can handle it. Just no more rain...

Happy birthday to Coco_Chanel and Bailey - 7 years old.... how did the time fly.
I am doing one blog for both as I am still having difficulties posting.
We have Coco the maltese here and got word that Coco's human dad died today. We were especially fond of him so we are taking this hard.
Dogs still had fun. They played hard but not up to a long blog. Sorry...
