Less Noise More Time to Nap

Less dogs mean more chance to nap in the most interesting places. It is interesting when it is busy, the dogs play and play and yes they played today too but its like a party when it is busy and when they go, they play recovery. Dogs are smart. They will do what they need to to get their naps in like some humans. 

As I was weeding today, the dogs grabbed the weeds and spread them ll over the yard. They play the funniest games and they think you know what the game is but do you?

Tongue Has It

I wish dogs could talk. They can be so expressive if you pay attention to them. They lick their lips, they scat, they sulk, they stare and so much more. They do talk in a dawg way. You simply have to pay attention to dog body language. It fascinates me.

It was a no rain day so we ran around like maniacs, Many dogs departed. A couple arrived. It was a wonderful Sunday for dogs and humans alike. Oh and Arlo thinks I must be his person. He goes crazy silly everytime I am near him.

Comings and Goings

We had a number of dogs depart and a few arrived. Arlo is really enjoying Trigger. Arlo has been exceedingly welcoming to new dogs. It is deligfhtful to see. We also have Katie here.

Life is fun for the dogs as they await a huge thunderstorms. We heard tornado warnings west of us. Mother nature is keeping busy. It is muggy out there. The dogs are not liking it so much as the heat is here too.

Playing Crazy

It is quieter here today. The dogs are playing. Chiclet is really inviting the play. All is right with the dogs. But no one wants to go outside even under the gazebo when it rains. I find it funny as I go outside when it rains. I like the smell of fresh air after a rainstorm.

The dogs are major snugglers lately. It is so much fun to have them love you up like that - visitors and non visitors. It makes my day.

I played a game of hide and seek with them and no one found me. I am laughing. That was a first!

Happy 1st Birthday

We just wanted to share a little photo of Luna on her first birthday! And Happy Birthday to her siblings!

 We can’t believe she’s already one year old. She’s brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives, and we couldn’t imagine our family without her. She has such a wonderful personality and continues to make us smile every day.

Rain and Playing

Arlo came in the door and I gather he remembered Stryker as they played and played.

We had massive rainstorms so outdoors was out of the question for some of the day as it was wet out there but since stopped.

The play has been something else.

I cleaned the floors today and after that the mud came in the door. So the question of the day is - why bother? Well you have to do it unless you want muddy feet. hahaha

No Blog Day Well Sort Of

Nathan forgot to takre photos. I am still grooming. He is falling down on the job - me I am just too busy.

Dogs are doing well. They have been playing. 

So, the short of it is I will play catchup tomorrow. I am sorry....

Fun Inside and Outside

I was going to sleep in - a rare treat but no one remembered it was my day off. Got to love it.

Dogs start playing as soon as they get up saying hurry up people - feed me - will you?

They eat. They go outside and have fun as long as it is not raining and it is sunny today.

Hi Nathan and Darlah!

Just wanted to say hello from our birthday boy Gomez.  He turns 4 today and continues to be the most huggable member of the family.   There isn’t a stuffy that he does not fancy and then claim as his own.  He also loves to watch TV, give kisses, and play with his toys.

Oh The Boss Of It

We have Coco the Maltese and Remy the Yorkie here and both can bossy. I so laugh. Not in a bad way but in a funny way. Is it small dog syndrome? We have Coco here all the time so we know her reactions and so do the dogs. Remy is not here as frequent so the personality is unfolding and there is something about small dogs that are similar in size. It is almost as if they think they are puppies. It's a riot.

As this is the end of the holiday weekend, many are departing today. Instead of today off, I have tomorrow off due to needing to groom today.

Cinnamon and Amy are doing well. We miss them... we do.

It's Been Raining

No gallery day...

It's a no gallery day as it rained and rained. Apologies. Tomorrow many dogs depart. Today we mostly played indoors. I just stopped grooming. I started at 8am and it is now 845pm. So, I am a bit spent. I ate while I groomed and didn't stop. 

Tomorrow is a civic holiday. 

Dogs had fun. Hoping Amy and Cinnamon is enjoying too.

In !5 minutes I have to lift up water bowls, clean all 10 of them and the mats under it and get ready for bed and boy I need it and snuggling with the dogs - my reward!

Changes

I have to do a short blog tonight. I have a dog to cut down and we have a long weekend so my usual Monday day off is Tuesday. 

Amy and Cinnamon has departed to Steven and Mys. I saw some photos on my facebook page. I hope they have a great weekend of adjustment. I do miss them but couldn't have a better home. 

Tried a new shawarma place in the Makville mall. It was absolutely terrible. heh who knew

Happy 4th

Hi Darlah and Nathan,

I hope you’re both doing well.

Today is Kandoo’s 4th birthday, and I just wanted to reach out and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Kandoo means the world to us. After losing our sweet Asal, we were absolutely heartbroken, and Kandoo was the reason we got through such a difficult time. Her love, comfort, and companionship helped us heal more than words can ever express.

And then Nafas came into our lives, another amazing puppy from you. She is such a bundle of joy and has brought so much laughter, happiness, and love into our home. Every day she reminds us how lucky we are.

I honestly can’t thank you enough. You have truly changed our lives with these two incredible girls. They are not just beautiful dogs ,they have the most wonderful personalities, and they have brought us so much love and happiness.

On Kandoo’s birthday, I just wanted you to know how grateful we are for everything you do and for giving us two of the most precious gifts we could ever ask for.

Thank you again, and happy 4th birthday to our beautiful Kandoo!

Silly Times

Eat, play and nap. What else is there to do? What a wonderful life. I never get to nap but Nathan and the dogs do. LOL

It was a fine day out today. They played their hearts out in and outside. 

We also played a game of find the duck treat. Some have really grand noses. It makes me laugh!

Sunny Skies

Beautiful day outside. The dogs surely like the outdoors when it is warm like this bit not hot. They look around, run, play and investigate. Life is good.

We are starting to feel round tummies on dogs so we may have a 3 for. Is that how you say it? One more month away. We have not had pups for quite awhile.

There is a great group of dogs here that really know what fun is like. Some more arriving tonight and some departing. I can't imagine a bed without dogs. 

Windy Day

Inside and out - doesn't matter. They do play. It is delightful to see.

I am playing recovery so I am slacking on this blog thing. 

Still, I manage to enjoy watching the play.

I had a dog that refused to stand or he would twirl everytime you had the scissors in your hands. It was so difficult to groom him but we namaged to get it done. It just took twice as long. He is a puppy so needs conditioning. Hopefully I will get him there.

It looks like Amy and Cinnamon are going to their forever home - great friends that owned our dogs. My heart always well I don't know how to explain it but this is the absolute best home. They will be missed.

Very Late Blog

We were out visiting Stephen and My and just got back. I apologize for being late and not many photos due to the rain. Dennis was taking care of the dogs while we were out.

We took Spirit, Cinnamon, Sky and Any to visit and they actually had a great time.

Relationships

Here is the gallery.

The brothers have departed to their respecxtive homes. Do they remember each other? Absolutely and they play like they always did as if they were still 8 weeks old but more agile, more stregth and more experience. 

It is quite special that both arrive in similar timeframes without any cooridination as if it is meant to be. 

The dogs watch. They play too and they take in this relationship that has always been. How nice!

Many departed today some tomorrow. Soon it will be August closing in on Fall. How did that happen? 

I hope to see dogs in August while you have your holidays, we have ours. Ours resides with dogs.

It is a Crazy House

They are looking to come over the other side thinking I am handing out treats. I so laugh. I wasn't but they thought!

Dogs were really active. I still have a dog to groom and bathe who is going home early tomorrow. I will freshen up tomorrow. 

We did crazy run play. Ollie thought he was going to corral everyone in the direction he wanted but they didn't listen. 

Dogs are like people. They have a mind of their own.

Dennis made me a burger and fries and burnt both but I ate it anyways. Doing my part...
