Just Cold

Here is a mini gallery.

Still wettish but oh my cold. They just want to go in. I do not blame them.

Rusty and Luna went home. Their owner brought us a couple of dishes from a Chinese place near them. The egg rolls and chicken was amazing. Thank you, Ronnie!

Nathan is having a terrible time with afib and I keep imploring him to go back into his cardiologist. Stubborn - stupid, I say. He is resting upstairs now but really he should be downstairs so we can watch him. I didn't feel like doing much exercise today so I guess running up and downstairs is an exercise bonus?

Thank gad for dawgs!

Ed had a triple ablation in December for afib. I hope Nathan is on blood thinners.

Nathan wrote his cardiologist yesterday, He has an appointment tomorrow early morning. They made room for him. I imagine they will put him back on the holter to monitor. He is so tired always just like pre open heart surgery. They also told him to fast as he may need a nuclear stress test.

How is Ed now?

Ed is better than he was after the surgery. He was pretty rough during the holidays but he is recovering now. It was done one week before Christmas. I hope they help Nathan.

Did Ed have bypass surgery too?

January 19, 2026 | Registered CommenterDarlah

No, Ed had arrhythmia. No bypasses yet. He had two sets of cardiac ablation, a single in January and a triple in December.

Angela: here is the info we were given if that is the route they have to go but his concern is blockages as well.

Up to 3 in 10 people who receive an ablation discover that the procedure didn’t destroy enough abnormal heart tissue to relieve their symptoms, requiring a second procedure. The damaged tissue also has the ability to heal itself over time and resume its abnormal functioning, requiring it to be destroyed a second time. The good news is that success rates go up at least 10% when a second procedure is performed. I hope this bit of info reduces your stress.

We were told the same thing, Darlah. Ed knew he may need another procedure, and he did.

We were told the same thing, Darlah. Ed knew he may need another procedure, and he did. I had an ablation in 2024 and my arrhythmia has not returned as of yet.

That is good news. May it stay at bay. WE have a visiting dog whose human just had open heart. He had issues during surgery. Nathan did when he had his and they had to go back in to repair further. I wish Nathan took his health serious before it gets serious. Men....
