Rain Today

Here is the gallery.

It was raining so not much outdoor photos. Dogs still had fun.

Nathan took Amy (Tenshi's sister) over to MacKenzie Health as her mom is in the hospital. They do not know if she will ever get out. She is about 75lbs soaken wet and not responsive but Amy was glad to see her and curled up against her then was ready to come back here. I really like Bev so this is hard. Amy was happy to come back. It is as if she knows something is off. Dogs do know. We go day by day much like we did for Ruth. It weighs heavy on you but Amy does play here and there. She is eating well. We pray that Bev nakes a rebound but no one knows.

On a more positive note, the dogs played massive games with Dennis as it was too wet outside and we had a number of dogs depart.

Dennis and I are going to climb on the couch and watch tv with the dogs. Nathan is watching Korean tv in the TV room with other dogs. We are distributed through the house and the dogs seem to like this. If no one is coming to the door, they can go from my office and to the tv room and decide what they want to watch and who they want to see.

Sending healing prayers to Amy's mom, she'll be in our thoughts

Thank you - am praying for her too. Incredibly sad...

Bev has Corticobasal degeneration and it seems it has already reached the severe stage. It was early on misdiagnosed as Parkinsons.

Just googled that disease, it's a rare one, and not many treatment options.

Dorothy: There are actually no treatment that is effective. It is only managing the pain. The only thing that moves on her now are her eyes. She is 75lb soaking wet as she can no longer swallow. She has no quality of life, bed sores - thank you Amica and her hubby says when Bev goes, he does not think he can care for the dog. Sad all the way around. I know Bev well. We have been to her house, her here. I have met her relatives. I groom Amy. She has been to all the picnics. They had a good life when she was well.

I think Ruth took the sails out of us and here we are again minus much of the drama but in a different way. Ruth was prolonged. I do not think this will be for Bev. She is already at the last stage.

I am heartsick for Amy but she belongs here if he feels he can't take care of her.

Between dogs and their humans, I feel the weight. I exercise to lessen that.

Still miss Harlow and her human is not responding so I am hoping he is improving.

I am so very sad to see this news about Amy's mom. I think I met her many years ago at a Havanese picnic. I also think Amy is one of Sadie's sisters (from Saffron's first litter)? My heart goes out to all of them, as well as the Talemaker crew. Comforting that Amy always has a place with you.

Patt: You are correct. She was at the picnics so I am sure you met her. They are related. She is a lovely person. She even managed to eat at a variety of restaurants and they allowed Amy to come.

Neurological diseases are so difficult. You wonder what they digest when you are talking. The eyes move but the body and voice doesn't come.
