No Photo Day

This is a remember when. It's our anniversary so it's a no update blog. Puppy blogs will be updated.

Panda is out of heat. Normalcy has arrived a few days ago and Leti is not eating breakfast and is getting coddled for lunch and dinner.

Murphy departs tonight. 

We are working on puppies and who goes to whom. 

Our daughter is moving home with 2 teens - our grand daughters. So, it is busy times, sad times and stress-filled times. So bear with us. 

Times must be difficult for many as we have had a few cancel trips due to job losses. Our hearts go out to them. We figure we will just have new people with last minute plans so it will be our usual but those getting hit before the holidays, we feel for you - truly!

We return to our normal schedule tomorrow.

Dry to Wet

Here's a gallery of the dogs dry then wet. I brushed and combed out everyone. Let me just say that they no longer look like I ever touched them. Wait till you see the wet photos. I will brush and comb them out at tv watching time. 

Tomorrow is Nathan and my anniversary. We are going to go out to a movie. Seeing we just went out to eat at the specialty, the movie will have to suffice. So blogs will be extra short tomorrow.

I also have 2 dogs to wash and clip. I had planned to start washing my dogs but not with this rain. It would be futile. Besides I sorely need down time. 

Gerda's 3 already stand in line to wait their grooming turn. I just love it. 

Dogs have been having a blast. My muddy floors and muddy dogs - well extra work. Such timing. Maybe its a gin and tonic night tomorrow. 

Short Update

Getting tired of these short updates. I know - so busy lately. Teddy gets a bath tomorrow and he departs but oh my has he had a blast. Ozzie, Molly and Katies has too. Molly and Katie have a new home to go home to. Lots of changes for mom and dogs but it will be exciting ones too as everything will be new.

Everyone had a blast today with Dennis but we had the vets so a short update. Sorry about that. 

Catching Up on Grooming

Oh boy what a few days and tomorrow is yet to come. We didn't get home till 10pm. Two days worth of working the specialty and I couldn't have done it without Lynda. I took photos and videos and without Lynda, I would not have been able to do that. She was amazing and I owe her big time. 

I have to admit I am exhausted. Panda is out of heat today - hooray!! It means no dogs segregated. Hooray!!

Dennis was amazing. By the time we walked in the door everything was done except the water dishes that needed to be washed. I did that when I walked in after the dogs went wild to see us. But the pups woke up at 6am and screamed to get up. It tells me they went to bed earlier than usual. Dennis thought that having them out 4 times for long play sessions would have had them sleeping in. 9pm is too early. 10 pm seems to give us to 7am at least at this stage.

Last night I crawled into bed and got bathed with kisses and snuggles for a good solid half hour - no lie. You would have thought I went away for a long time. I guess they love me - including the visitors and that's extra special. I told someone at the show if I didn't connect with the dogs like I do then why do this. They give me smiles - each and every one of them, ours and the visitors. That's something to treasure for sure!

It was great to see Breeze and Chinook plus Shelley and Al. Just not long enough!

Here are a few clicks I took today before doing a marathon brushing out. Kat is back to normal and playing without gals being in heat. Life resumes as we know it!

Basket Wins

Kathy (Kona's mom) won a basket - #7 with OMG in it - woo hoo - very nice basket. I have it and that Shannon wins the pod. 

No Update

Nothing For Us Today

Nothing for Buddy, Phantom, Newton or Envy. Buddy won't be there tomorrow as he was favoring his front paw. It is better if he rests but he sure looks pretty doesn't he?

Nathan is back at the show. I am home so I could help Dennis as he will have a long day tomorrow. So no updates.

Dogs are doing well but its raining so Dennis didn't click. I am about to feed them. 

Oh We Have Fun

Blogs may be sparse as we have the specialty this weekend but we will play catch up. The dogs are having a blast. Check out the gallery.

It's a wonderful mix and everyone seems to be getting into it at various times but no more photos today. I have lots to do today. This is just a - don't worry - we are having fun post.

Crazy

Can you believe I am still sick. I am better but still sick. Was hoping to be better by now. So, I am a bit behind in clicks and I just finished grooming. The photos in this gallery is before grooming. 

Feel like I am a queen as Gerda's 3 all vy for my lap. Dogs have a way of making you feel special when you are sick.

Patches was here with the gang chasing her. She doesn't mind. She relishes the attention. Tiny was here running his head off. They are now home.

Tomorrow I have no room for feeling sick as I have Buddy and Muntuno to bathe for the show plus make sure we have everything packed in the car as Nathan will be doing setup tomorrow. Friday I have to work the show well or not. So good riddance flu. Sunday a 8 week puppy visit. Monday vet visit and Tuesday we have a visitor and Wednesday I breathe after doing so much. Plus it will be time to start in washing my gang.

When we edge up to the last 2 weeks for pups, it always seems to be extra busy. 

Not Many Clicks

Just a few clicks as no one thought about clicking. We still have things outside that needed to come in so the camera took backseat and I am not going out till I am well. Here is what we did click. Not much but it's something. We did get a minor amount of snow - a dusting - more like a frost. 

We are also getting ready for the specialty and after the specialty we have our 8 week visit and then after that our vet visit. Oh boy... So blogs may be short but we will try our best. 

2 Updates: Looking for a Home & More

This boy looking face on is Pepi. I have known him all his life. He will be 10 next month. He is having the time of his life. So if you know of someone who is looking for an older dog, please let us know. As you can see he would love to have a companion as he does love to play. 

I have been pretty sick but I have been getting naps here and there. I am seeing progress. But it took me till 4pm to brush out all the dogs and I left Inula and Shoshi to Nathan. :-) Here are pictures before brushouts. 

We have a real cohesive group here. Everyone likes each other and is enjoying each other. I am sorry that I didn't get more play photos but everyone is playing and I mean EVERYONE. Even Kismet found play with Saffron and Mia jumped all over Spice. Rest easy folks.... everyone is having a blast and I am getting better. It just takes me a long time to groom and we take photos when the camera is handy. hahaha

Happy 2nd Birthday

A big shout out from Pippin to Bella, Max and Mateo!  Can’t believe how quickly 2 years have gone by, Pippin continues to bring us happiness and laughter.  Here she is with her best buddy Napoleon.  Finnegan continues to come for doggy day care during the week and ‘Poleon’ is often here for visits on the weekends.  A busy and full house, life is fine.

Indoors and Outdoors

We play fetch indoors and outdoors but when they come in from outdoors due to weather and we continue the play inside, they also bring the leaves and everything else with them. But that's okay. That is what mops and brooms are about but we wait till the play stop before doing that. Here is today's gallery. 

Gerda, your 3 are great. Mia well said nails I don't think so but we got it accomplished and then after that she was kissing up Nathan. How funny. 

Barry has departed, Frannie has departed and soon Reggie will. 

With Nathan being home I am getting some cat naps in while my body heals. Thank you for the soup and for the Chinese food. one was soothing to my body and one made sure I got the offending what have you outs. Both was very much needed and very good. Meaning one was hot - spicy wise.

We have the specialty coming up Friday. So, getting well is on the agenda, So much to do before that as well.

Laci Update

Thought you would like to see a photo that our oldest granddaughter, Ashley took of Laci for her photography class.

I knew given the talented photographer and beautiful little Hav, Miss Laci that it was a winning combination.

They won hands down from votes of 2 teachers and as well her fellow students. 

I just love the action shot on the pool cover.  I call it "The Darlah Photo!" 

If you ever want an apprentice to take a bit of the load off, or just to have a student section of photos, I would be more than happy to bring Ashley & Laci along to take candid moments of your precious furry ones.

A Lil Play

Brewer is smiling as he had extra treats just like Pepper did today. They even had steak in their meal tonight. Yum!!

Busy and Sick Day

This is Frannie sitting on the messy kitchen table. Dennis was reading the newspaper and Frannie decided to join him. Yes, he told her to get down but he had to snap a photo of her first. Tsk Tsk

I have the throat from hell today and a ton of mucous so I am under the weather. So blogs are short. Here is a gallery taken just before Scruffy and Pepper arrived and a tad just after.

It's Pepper's 3rd birthday tomorrow! She will get an extra special treat and a bath. Oh she will love me for that.

I may add some more photos after Dennis takes more. But this may have to do. We shall see. 

Cooper arrived this morning and he is really connecting with Levon and Inula. You have to look at the gallery to see Cooper's expressions. 

Dogs are doing really well but I need to go to the airport to get Gerda's 3. Thank gad Jon is going to drive me as I am not up to it. 

Barry as usual revels in the fetch toy play game. You can just see it in his expression.

Dolly who is just here for a play day is having a blast. But she will be departing when I am at the airport. So, I doubt he will get another play session in outside till I get back as I depart in 15 minutes. That's okay, they are playing fetch inside. It's a bit wild and crazy in here.

Smitten

Oh Trigger just thinks that Ella is his everything. You even have to tell him, it's time to sleep you know. But she's my gal-friend. 

Dogs are having a blast. We did manage to get out and truly play many times before the rain hit. I even got them all groomed but one can hardly tell. Play tends to mess all that work up.

It's My Birthday Plus More

Mom is going to make me something extra special and of course I will get a treat no one else gets - just because they say it is my special day.

We have a gallery of the rest of the dogs. We are rather busy. Got two more dogs to wash and groom. 

Dogs managed to have a ton of fun. I am still going and going. 

Blogs are short as I still have another dog to do and pups to take out, pens to clean and food to make and laundry to do. heh

The Play is Every Day

Don't worry, even with Nathan gone we will manage to have a total blast. They always do with Dennis and I.

Dogs have had a total blast but we are busy. Mabel and Murphy departs tomorrow. Levon and Trigger come and it's Shoshi's birthday. Wow time flies and she is still a crazy dog - always a pet due to her cottony, crazy hair and incorrect tail but we love her. She's one of the very best personalities! She wasn't our breeding and is now a senior but you would never know it! She is a special gal and we do love her!
