Consideration?

Can dogs be polite?Timmy actually allowed Bobby Ann to get the Frisbee instead of just going in and stealing it away to win. It's not that he doesn't like to win but he appears to be a good sportsman. I have been watching him closely and sometimes he grabs it and runs off and sometimes he says - okay it's your turn.

I rather think that is nice!

Had Plans

I had plans to put up a gallery of the dogs playing but I can't. Timmy goes home tomorrow and Tangles goes to Paulas so Tangles will get a bath after next feeding and I will place those photos up tomorrow and that will be the last post in the Abigail blog unless I get photos from families with permission to do so.

This was Cody after his bath today. This is Truffie's brother and he is a white chocolate. I love his look. He's coming back for a visit later this month and I have to say he is a delight. He has so many mannerisms just like Truffie that it does my heart good. He snuggles right into your neck in a melting action. My chocolate melting boys. :-)

The crew had a blast today. I do have photos but not sure if I will get to them - sorry.

We ran around like nutcases playing all sorts of games and it feels bitter cold outside. We also had chilling time in the TV room where we watched results of the xfactor.

We also manage to slide and run around the house. I need to wax the floors more so that slide is easier. That's where my time has to go till I have a bigger window. So, till then blogs will be shorter.

Almost Xmas

Okay, it's almost Chanukah but Xmas is coming soon. Lori and Roger had a photo done of Scruffy and I thought I would share it with you as it is so cute.

I was going to do some more photos of the crew playing but I am still playing catchup. They had a great time today too. I will put some up tomorrow.

Logan Blowing in the WindBobbie Ann and Timmy PlayingCody and Panda PlayingI am most excited about the Bobbie Ann play with Timmy. Sometimes if you have never been here it takes a few days and then the magic happens and it always does. Bobbie Ann is not one of ours but she has such funny expressions like the Scuffs.

Outside Fun

My day started with sleep for 4 hours and then I crawled out of bed and sent Dennis to sleep as he is on the night shift.

I put one of my grooming tables outside of the family room where the pups are so I could groom and watch.

I got everyone groomed up except Logan, Panda and Scruffy as they get done just before going home.

It's obvious to me everyone needs baths but this will have to wait.

We are slowly getting back to normalcy, whatever that is. I have far from recovered.

I do believe the dogs were excited to have Nathan throwing the frisbee and toy and me clicking the camera. They acted that way.

Kat and Truffie and Nathan will kill me - but also Roxie were so overjoyed it was crazy. The rest all gave me kisses and snuggles etc but they were not quite over the top in a ridiculous state of mind. Interesting enough Panda - well she gave me kisses and snuggles but Logan was beside himself to see me too jumping up and down as if I was this long lost soul he remembered. Scruffy thought - wow she's out here too and lathered me with kisses. Timmy thought this was a curious state and Cody melted into my neck. Bobbie Ann was excited to see me too though Dennis is her person in a big way. Nathan is working on her becoming his world till she goes home as that is who he is.

Then they realized what me with a camera and Nathan with toys meant and they played and played and played their hearts out - even old lady Shoshi and Risa. So in reality they were all quite happy I was out clicking and Nathan was throwing and running.

Heart Melts

I was looking through old photos reminding me of fun moments and this photo caught my eye.

I get to see Chinook and Breeze soon. I am excited about that!

This morning I will take a nap, get up, groom and then go outside and click - something I missed doing.

Photos From Yesterday

I have to get Nathan taking more photos. He's not like me attached to the camera but I am nagging as I want to know what I am missing.

I did send some Timmy photos so he could send them on to his mom and dad so hoping he did that. If not, you can nag him. :-)

Not a Dog

I look at the photos taken and I get this - not a clear dog photo in the bunch. Oh well.

Yes, we have a flying squirrel or two.

It's a riot to watch them in action. I can see them out my window.

The dogs think they are great fun.

In Wasabi fashion they have learned to bark at them and chase them - oy!

Hmmm

We will update this blog later today. Or maybe Nathan will take it over - who knows till the all night vigils stop. He has a pulse on what is going on with the dogs. Me - I just hear it from him and Dennis and I have stolen moments or grooming experiences. Oh well...

Snow Dusting

The dogs are really reacting in a positive way to the dusting we had. Unfortunately it is now gone. Timmy thought it was delightful. Jeannie pounced in it as if she was a cat.

Ah to miss snow again.... Did get Timmy brushed up, snuggles to all and back to it.

Snuggle Times

Timmy and I and a slew of others had snuggle times - well not a slew but you know what I mean and I feel so lucky to have them especially right now.

Hoping Nathan takes photos today. I only seem to get them of the pups lately.

Trying to stay awake but its a struggle. 4 more hours...  So if I don't make sense - please understand.

The Spice and Treasure is sleeping and I am watching some silly animated movie while I sit with them about a princess that turns her mom into a bear. Can you guess the name?

Hmm a Day?

Nathan was too busy trying to get the snowflakes in the photos that we had that he didn't get Timmy's face but the dogs were out in it and for a bit. We had a good amount of white stuff flying through the air but it didn't stick.

Timmy didn't mind one bit.

He is literally having a blast. He's like a dog in a store of bones. He just plays and plays and plays and then crashes.

No worries about this one having fun. He finds it and if someone doesn't want to play, he moves on and plays with the next.

But too funny with Tangles he wants to lay on top of her and possess her. Oh so funny. Is it that she is smaller and younger and not as mouthy as Jeannie? Time will tell!

I groomed Timmy and he almost said - ARE YOU KIDDING - okay he didn't talk but his body language did. He loved the treats - 2nd grooming so far so he will get used to the routine.

He snuggled up against me in the tv room while Nathan gave me a break. He's such a fun boy!

Life's Bleeps

Nathan managed to capture this moment. When I am doing all night vigil I get up, groom, play as much as I can but I essentially take over for Nathan so I miss the dawgs.

I miss them sleeping with me. I miss our moments other than grooming and my usual snuggling every chance I get.

Last time I did this and finally got back to bed at night the dawgs were delighted and piled around me being so attentive.

I swear Nathan doesn't understand it. They love him. They miss me. It's all okay and eventually it will be the way they are used to soon.

Hoping by Monday life is normal. Here's hoping!

American Thanksgiving

Okay, this isn't about dogs but I am missing Turkey and stuffing and cranberry and gravy - argh.

Maybe after everything calms down I can get a turkey and make it. Eating - well let's put it this way I lost 3lbs since this craziness but I needed to. Still, it tells you how much I am eating.

I love to give the dogs leftover turkey - a slight amount too and I can even dry it out for treats.

Oh well... no Canadian - no American Thanksgiving and I didn't even watch the Macy parade (I was in it as a kid playing drums).

Oh well - after all this maybe I can have the finer things in life like getting out, eating turkey - feeling human.

Kiss the dogs and love them. Today after Timmy arrives I am going out in the backyard and play with all the dogs and click photos. Not sure how I will get a gallery together but that's my plan. You?

Snow?

Think we will have snow this year?

They are forcasting another snowless winter. I hope not.

Its not good for disease, for plants for the bug population.

Seeing I will be sleeping all morning and grooming Panda, Logan and whomever else I can fit in during the afternoon while there is 3 of us.

We are a little busy.

I have to get Logan and Panda brushed up as soon as Nathan gets back here and then we wil be ready to go for Spice.

These are fast blogs as I am not sure how much time I will have later on if any. First timers can go a short time or a long time.

I just love my dawgs. It's time like these that I worry but we know what we are doing.

Shake the Sillies Out

Don't you just wish that you had to shake the sillies out as you are so lost in them? Too often we can't find the sillies and we all need them at times. 

Learn from your havanese and get silly even if its with them today.

Tug Toy and Squirrel Hunting

Angie gave the dogs this toy and they ADORE it! Thank you for the fun dog gifts! The dogs are having so much fun with them. Our deepest appreciation!

I will tell you, Shoshi won the tug war this time.

Earlier today Abigail won the tug war and then Jeannie did.

I don't have a photo of it but earlier today Angie was here and saw the rabbit that we have. It's a bold thing.

We also have squirrels that are on our walls and Wasabi has a high prey drive. Not all havanese do. She doesn't hurt the squirrels but she likes to catch them by the tail and then let them go. It's a game for her, I suppose.

Today, she jumped up on the BBQ and on to the railing as she saw squirrels on our wall and then went for a huge leap at the wall but Nathan caught her in mid-air. I am just glad we go out with the dogs so he could stop that end result. Where was the camera when that happened? In the house, of course.

Wasabi reminds me she is the most agile being but what did she think she was going to do when she reached the wall? Silly dog!
