Pups are absolutely cute! I only got a short time with them today.
They give kisses. They climb on you. They are trying to get over the ramp. They are adventurous.
Tonight they go to sleep without mom upstairs. Leti comes and hugs me for the night and she will watch them on the ipad. Yes, she does that. It's a riot.
Friday, September 7, 2018 at 6:34PM The tri - the black, white and tan pup climbed up and down the ramp today. Way to go, little one!
The pups are such fun beings now.
By tomorrow we are putting the pups upstairs without Leti. Leti will come to bed with me and snuggle. Why do we do this? It is the start of being independent. If mom always slept with them till they departed, it would be a tough transition for the pups. So we do the work a little at a time.

The adults were saying hello to the pups between the bars. Leti was not happy but the pups thought it was delightful.
I have to say the pups were wonderful as they kissed the dogs through the bars.
I only have a couple videos today as I was stuck at the doctors for a bit.

Look at that tongue. The puppy is hot. It was so hot outside we were only able to have them out for a short bit. They still enjoyed their short stint. We were going to take them out tonight as well but it is still too hot. Tomorrow will be cooler.
We are going to redo the pen as the setup doesn't work. Since we expanded the pen they are having accidents so we are placing the pads where they want to go in hopes that it creates a habit once again. They were doing really well in the smaller xpen.
The pups are eating food every day now. Their bowels have changed as it does with the introduction of food.
They are playing. They are attempting to run and climb. They are a riot. Just love them!

Leti feeds them standing up always.
They had their 2nd visit outdoors with food. Their bowels have changed as their bodies adjust to the different food. That means it isn't soft but softer than before so I am cleaning bottoms. This too shall pass. This is their 4th meal. Dennis fed them last night too. Our goal is to get them to drink water so they can go upstairs without mom at night.
They are doing well outdoors and we have expanded their xpen. They are having a few accidents off the pad as they adjust to the size of the pen. They are really young.
They do really well with eating and investigating outside for only the 2nd time.

The puppies had their first visit outdoors and their first solid food. Check out the videos to see how they did.
Okay, I have to tell you. They were amazing. No fear. they ate well. A couple drank water. These pups are ready for prime time. I am so impressed. We will have them out again tomorrow and work up to twice a day then 3 times a day.
Their nose pigment is in on all but 2 and the 2 that is coming in nicely. It is a gradual process. Their ears are pointing down now. They also wag their tails at you and get so excited to see you.
When I came home yesterday, leti and the pups were so excited to see me. Yes, the other dogs were too but the little pups - well that was a welcomed surprise. They missed me. :-)

As you can see, the pups are doing really well on the floor. Bravo little ones. There won't be any galleries today or videos. I apologize. Well, I will try to get a video when I arrive home. I had to depart at 630 so even weights won't be done. Nothing to worry about as they are doing really well with gaining and the level of their activity.
Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 7:40PM Pups have a patch of flooring and they are walking rather well on it. Can you believe! As days go by we will increase the area till they just have some bedding and the flooring and of course the pad and crate. As they get older we will increase the size of the pen. For now it is a good size.
On Monday or Tuesday we are going to try them on food and take them outdoors.
They are doing really well.

I have to say I feel like the puppies are older just watching - not in size but the way they get around, climb, interact and use the pad. I need to start opening up some floor space to see how they do walking on linoluem. By 4 weeks we will try them on food.
Leti likes to feed them standing up and it is funny to watch them hanging feeding. They are quite the characters.

We had planned on walking the pups 2 pups at a time around the back yard in our arms but it was too cold today, if you can believe.
Nathan was busy today loving up a couple of puppies. It was nice to watch!
Puppies are truly fun to watch. They are using the puppy pad quite a bit on their own. Such smart pups.
