Walks 'N' Wags Pet First Aid is a recognized National Pet First Aid Certificate course for dog and cat professionals and pet owners. Talemaker Havanese now has that certificate having taken and passed the course.

can share many funny stories with you.
There is a whole series of these and rather funny. Someone ought to do a series from the customers experience. :-) Talking to many, many groomers and my own experience - as a whole people do not understand what it takes to demat. They also don't understand how the dog feels matted. I used to not charge for dematting but I do now. The process of pulling apart the mats carefully so you do not hurt the dog is tedious and hurts your hand and hurts the dog no matter how slow you go. I am good at it - actually abhor doing it and I have had dogs after others have said we must shave and some do not say thank you - nor give you a tip - nada and you have worked your ahem off. Those that really appreciate it and don't duplicate the need for this process are wonderful as we all can be in the position at least once in our lives. We get sick, we have someone take care of the dogs and they don't groom or groom poorly - it happens.
It's interesting looking at it from all sides.
