Mad Disappearance

Here is the gallery.

I groomed all day - tomorrow same and I only did 1 set of exercise. I want to crawl on to the couch and go to sleep while having the tv on but not listening to it.

Tuppy departed and I got wonderful Turkish treats from Astro's owner and an amazon gift card from his owners. So completely nice and unexpected. Profuse appreciation! Axel and Lola got me a giftcard to Montanas and I may order from that on Tuesday. Appreciated - an understatement.

Phoenix the Havanese pulled off a full-on disappearance act this morning. We knew he was in the house because he had come downstairs, but then suddenly he was nowhere to be found. Poor Nathan was in detective mode, searching everywhere, calling his name, getting more and more dramatic by the second, while I was just trying to put out the water bowls like this was a normal morning.

And where was Phoenix during this household emergency? Curled up in the back of the crate behind Cinnamon like a tiny furry fugitive in witness protection. Nathan finally finds him, and Phoenix has the audacity to look at us like, “Excuse me, do you people mind? I was resting.” Imagine causing absolute panic and then acting offended that you were located. I so LOVE the dogs. They so make us laugh.

A number of dogs are departing. March Break is coming to an end and it almost feels quiet here.

Hope you also had an event-filled day. You need these days to get the heart pumping.

We love getting daily updates and seeing the photos of Neesi and Jasper. Wonder what Jasper made of the rabbit in the back yard? He hasn’t met one in our yard yet. Did Neesi and Jasper recognize their litter mates (Axle and Lola)?

Litter mate Daisy was also there this week !

I would panic in that situation as well, even knowing that they were in the house for sure. I have panicked in similar situations. Seems crazy, but I totally get it.

Yes: Daisy was here too. She had a complete blast too. Best relative reacquaintance.

Neesi and Jasper recognized siblings

Patt: I knew he was in the house. Nathan does role call in case someone decides to sleep in. I do it every night before bed. It is a process. I knew he was in the house as he didn't go out with me. I can't begin to tell you the number of times Nathan went up and downstairs and into all rooms and kept announcing, I can't find him. I said calm down. He slept on your head. He didn't go outdoors with me before breakfast. So, he is in the house.

He did look at Nathan as if he lost his mind when found.

I get Nathan but it was comical especially Phoenix's reaction.

No dogs can depart the backyard nor escape the front as we have it safe for them but a mind is a dangerous thing. I think the process through. Where was the dog, did he go outside, come back in etc. Nathan reacts. That reaction gets the entire house going but I get the reaction but my mind always goes to, where was the dog when. I think Phoenix thought it was a riot.

I bet he will look in crates behind dogs from that day forward.
