New Fun Toy

It may look like a toy and it is but this is also a conditioning experience to noise and texture. I see this used on larger dogs mostly but I decided to expose them to this. I am always looking at ways to condition them and give them a better start in life. I expected the Roxie pups to be a bit too young for it and be a bit leery about it but they embraced it. The adults were hesitant around it till they saw the pups playing with it. Now who is teaching whom?
I find this all so fascinating. I also have video but will have to share it later as its on the GoPro and no time to pull it off and put it together to upload. I will get to it.
I also last night before bed took out only the Roxie pups. Here's a gallery of that. They are starting to keep up with the Adele pups. Today they were better or maybe it was Adele's that were better. Here is a gallery of this new activity toy with both litters.
Now I have 9 puppies and 2 moms to wash before the get together. I do this more for conditioning than anything else. They are rather clean. But as that is a lot of dogs to do, I may start with 1 litter tomorrow and the other litter on Friday. We shall see. I also have a lot on my plate so I am trying to figure it out.
Nathan is actually sitting watching tv wondering when I can but here I am doing a blog or 2 or three. :-)
Here's the videos:

Loved the gallery of the pups with the new interactive toy. Gosh these pups are so beautiful their coats look so luxurious.
They are so brave with all the different shapes and different noises, without the movement which you would think would scare them. Really, such brave souls. They are so beautiful with more and more hair every day. They look like little dogs now........
Angela, it scares the adults so it is interesting. I am doing baths for 9 pups today - an extra 2 days early as I have a full schedule Friday. Ihave an all day breeder conference with UC Davis Saturday. Then you all come to experience the pups on Sunday. I also have baskets to wrap - Lynda is helping me and containers to tag with item listings etc. No day is not full but I hope people get it if the blogs are sparse. I will only be placing up bath photos today and maybe a video or two. We shall see.
Darlah, I don't see why you can't leave the blogs altogether for one or two days. Just write, busy day, come back tomorrow for news!
What a great interactive toy! Looks like so much fun but also a good way to learn different sounds, feels, etc.
Darlah, I have a theory about why the pups are not scared with the new toy whereas the adults are. Maybe it is because, for the pups, everything right now is so new, this is just one more thing. Whereas, for the adults, they already have developed their sense of what is normal and what is not, hence this new toy is not normal therefore scary.
