Meet Mickey

He is the most loving boy. He doesn't depart till the 20th so we are lucky to have him hang around for 8 more days.

The pups have been having a great amount of fun. Inside, outside but oh boy I had the camera going and one dragged the sibling across the floor and no complaints from the one getting dragged. I had to say, no, I don't think so. Check it out. Now if he did complain, the sibling should have stopped. To them they were having great fun. I still felt despite the lack of complaints, that was not a fun game to perfect so I curtailed it.

Here's a couple of other videos I captured.

What a great name Mickey is and I just love his markings :-)

I can't believe the pup that was dragged didn't complain, but hey, they were having fun I guess.

They are really feeling their oats these days, quite the play monkeys.

The pup getting dragged was Charlie and he didn't complain one bit. I actually believe he was enjoying himself but I think it's okay for the humans to say, let's play a different game, ok?

I put the video up on purpose to show you that although he wasn't complaining or getting hurt, I decided to say let's play something else. I didn't chastise him or yell at him. I simply took a toy and got their attention and interrupted the play. If he was actually yelping and she was hurting him as all pups attempt to at this age as that is how they learn, my intervention would have came with a firm no and a distraction. This is how they learn bite inhibition. They do not know their mouth strength and they learn by siblings stopping the play and crying out. It is a process they all must go through. They are learning. She actually had a soft mouth on him while she was dragging him. That is why he didn't yelp. He probably thought it was great fun to be dragged like a dust mop and she was playing games of - I am boss - or I think I am. He was simply enjoying himself.

Yikes! Glad you intervened. I know he wasn't complaining, but "canine Swiffer" isn't a game I'd want them to perfect either!

Julia: You will enjoy Charlie. He's fun just like Benji.
