Lap Time

It is Nathan's day off and he spent most of it with the dogs having lap time with him. I spent the time grooming 8 dogs. I just finished. Tomorrow I have 5. Sunday is Mother's Day and I rest.

Nathan got me an early Mother's Day gift and forgot to tell me about it. It was a Dairy Queen Banana split and it melted at the front foor. So did his Orange Julius. The best made plans...

I think one of our sons is bringing double layered popcorn from Silver City. 

Dennis was kind enough to make me spaghetti for dinner. I had not eaten today so it was welcome. 

Our son and daughter-in-law and grandkids in North Carolina sent an amazon gift certificate so I could buy filament. Issue was the certificate was on amazon.com and not usable on Amazon.ca. There were items I wanted that are not available in the states and I found that Canada, at least in filament is cheaper here in Canada with each country having its unique items. There were special deals but you had to be a prime member and we are in Canada but that doesn't count in the states. So complicated and that delivery is supposedly on Sunday. Let's see if it arrives. 

Dogs have been absolutely wild and crazy today chasing a rabbit, leaving the squirrels alone and well enjoying the outdoors as Nathan did as well. 

Me, it is already 7pm and tomorrow I start in again with grooming. I earn my days off. I always work very hard to have a day off. 

Tomorrow many go home. Some arrive. I hope no one is matted.  We shall see how tomorrow goes.

Yet Another Rainy Day

It has been raining off and on. 

Ms Bailey is here and here is a huge happy birthday shout out to Pippa. 

In order to have Sunday and Monday off, I am grooming like crazy. That means the next 2 days is crazy busy.

Nathan made this HUGE veal chop and then he took all that he couldn't eat and added it to the meals tonight. OMG it was like magic - gone. We always add chicken and ground beef but we do add steak and veal at times. Sometimes if Nathan cooks up salmon for himself, we add that too. It is just enough to gain their interest and they so appreciate!

Well, I have to get back to grooming. 

Longish Day

I had a very long time grooming yesterday. I had a biy of the same today. Saturday is officially booked for groom fully as Sunday is Mother's Day and I have Mother's Day and Monday off. Don't expect anything beyond popcorm but no chores. LOL I get to snuggle with the dogs.

I did manage to comb out dogs and wash a couple of mine.

We have some massive snuggles going on between the dogs. They were so miffed at me last night for going up late. Nathan made it upstairs early with a few dogs.

Today was Dennis day off vs. tomorrow. Nathan needs to take Stormy to the vet and he wanted a full day off. Can you blame him?

I can't believe Mother's Day is this week. We have extra dogs Saturday and Sunday. Sounds like people are celebrating. How nice!!!

We watched the last episode of Daredevil and now we have Foundation and From to finish. What are you watching?

Sorry Very Late Blog

Just finished grooming and have another to do at 7am. So I am very late. We had 17 dogs at the dental clinic and only 1 dog that couldn't be done. 

Not much to say other than I am dead. I need sleep, snuggles with the dogs etc.

Dogs did have a blast today and lots of faces for them to play with.

It has been a day but we do this to help the dogs have pearly whites.

The dogs are really enjoying himself. It is sunny outside. It is the day before dental day so we are filling up as many have to drop off the night before. It is always a busy day but fun and yes, I am grooming too.

Nappers

When it is raining, we nap - well not all the time but then we play.

I hear that the comments are not working. I have reported it. Hopefully it gets fixed soon but usually takes them a bit as I am on their old architecture. I don't have the time or money to move it to their new architecture as they want over 2 grand. So, we deal with slow response to bug fixes.

We have Lola and Axel here. Mom brought cookies - yum and a belated birthday present, How nice is that!

The dogs have been playing like crazy the last hour but its rain outdoors so we are playing indoors. 

What a fun bunch we have here.

Stare Before the Play

It is that look, that watch and then the engagement. If you pay attention, the dogs do speak to each other. You probably overlook it but it is there. I pay a lot of attention to looks, body language etc. It fascinates me.

The dogs are truly playing today. 

Ms. Coco the Maltese was on the side lines telling them all what to do. It was so funny. 

Dennis wanted me to thank Coco's parents for Dennis bday present. It seems their email is bouncing. But he didn't want to be remiss.  He ordered parts to fix his headphones and is hoping it works. They arrived today.

Tess, Dash and Malla are here today having an absolute blast. The dogs are so having a great time.

New Fun

We have new dogs that arrived today and dogs that have departed. It is a fun exchange. I want you to laugh as I combed out the dogs and they are literally a mess. As you will see in the photos, they rolled. They made themselves a mess and I am pulling debris out of them yet again. It is a riot.

It is Nathan's day off so he has been hanging out with them.

Life is grand as they can chase, have fun and literally take up every stitch of Nathan's lap. Life is good. 

Tonight is steak night for the dogs.

Here is Winston and Chloe playing up a storm. It is interesting what the pups bring to a relationship. With Socks and Hazel here, I am reminded that often the young ones bring the older ones back to activity and that is a good thing. As we age, we get complacent and we don't get as much activity but we should. It helps with flexibility and keeps us young in mind.

It is sunny outside. It is a grand adventure here today. Let's play as play is in the air!

The eyes have it. Those eyes on Nava is gorgeous. 

It rained off and on so I only got photos indoors. Still, they had fun and well that is the operative word - not indoors/outdoors. It means they can have fun wherever they are!

Who Are the Queens?

Here is the gallery.

Who are the queens in this house, at the moment or better yet, who thinks they are? We have 3 Cocos here, at the moment. They all believe they are queens or princess material. We have Olive who says I am top queen but that maltese says - you only think so. It is all a riot and you can see it in their body language and then Tenshi enters and says it is all in your own minds. Cloe ignores them all and just walks the walk of confidence. I find everyone visiting are immensely great dogs. 

No one fights with each other. They simply just walk the walk of importance and it makes me laugh!

Ty and Magic was here and made themselves at home. All the dogs that are visiting are repeats so they know the house well. 

Oh and Amy's late mom was sick for sometime so Amy didn't play much. She was playing today with Chai.

Dental Clinic and Bird Chasing

We have a dental clinic coming up on the 5th of May. If interested, send mail to Nathan. 

Weather is warm and the dogs are chasing cardinals. Not sure what happened to them as they usually ignore them. 

Nathan spent a significant time outdoors. I had grooming to do so I have the window opern and walked outside a few times. I did minimal exercise. 

Coco and Doozie are here till May 2nd. Lachlan and Marlie are here till tonight and Coco the maltese - well she is the boss or so she thinks in her mind. I say that with laughter as she is a gal with attitude but not in a bad way - rather a funny way.We are all what we think we are and she is large and mighty.

We also have Coco the havanese here. She finds sitting on high the best thing in the world so she can survey the rest.

Spring has sprung and life is good with dogs!

Cool But Sunny

It has been a day. The dogs have had an amazing time today. They ran. They played and they chased!

Lexi and Ollie depart soon. Tenshi departed earlier and Ms. Coco arrived and is outdoors at this moment sleeping in Nathan's nexk. The 2 are napping and all the rest came in. I was afraid to take a camera out as I thought I may wake them up. But they appear fast asleep. LOL

Clean Up Time

No gallery day.

Dennis didn't take that many photos and I am having fits with the hosting site that hosts all my galleries. I have sent mail in hopes that it gets fixed by tomorrow.

I do think we need to invest in sometime to clean up and blow all that dirt away outdoors. Now to do it myself or motivate Dennis. It does have to be dry out there 1st.

It rained most of the morning so they didn't get to go out till this afternoon. 

Ms Tenshi departs tomorrow. So she is getting done 1st thing in the morning then Lexi. I have a number of others to do then Monday is my day off. I hope the weather is good!

What is Back?

You see this crew? They were sitting on the deck watching. What were they watching? The antcipation of movement and suddenly they were rewarded. We had a rabbit and squirrels and the chase was on. They look so calm and patient but they were watching. They don't want to catch them. They simply want the chase. It is exciting to them.

We have Coco and Doozie here - 16.5 and 15.5 years old. They are rather spry actually and enjoy their naps but otherwise quite alert for being serious seniors. 

Tenshi always has her top of the couch position. It is funny how regulars have their spots and demand to have them. It is my space - don't you know? Nothing is done nasty. They just do that stare and move into position. I so love the dogs. They are so incredibly funny!

Sun Today, Rain Tomorrow

Seeing I put up a wild and crazy play gal photo yesterday of Jersey, I figured I would take a photo after her bath. 

We had a number of departures today. Tomorrow Mr. Smores departs. We rather miss them when they go. You know all that bedtime snuggling when they depart you go oh no head draping, or neck snuggling - depending on the dog. But they come back and we get to do it again.

It has been a great day. Lots of games were played and a mad run with Dennis. Life is good!

Birthday, Departures and Fun

Jersey turned 5 today. She gets to spend it with us. She had the usual birthday steak added to her meal. She was delighted! We do add chicken and ground beef usually but special occasions is steak on the bbq cooked just right. I never saw her eat so fast. It was funny! She seems to like the finer things in life.

Mikki departed the non havanese puppy. He was starting to pull tails and no one was having that. Ms Coco the maltese departed and Gibson the non havanese departs tomorrow. Coco and Doozie arrived yesterday and much to Nathan's amazement snuggled into me at bedtime. They are both serious seniors and are so loving!

It is warm today. Things are greening up. We need to clean the backyard but we are procrastinating. Those leaves we never got to and the pine pieces all need to be blown and picked up or mulched. We have not opened the pool yet but there is that cost and the heater that died last year so we wait.

The snuffle mat remains a HUGE hit. Thank you, Sherry!

Fun but Busy

Here is a small gallery.

It is a crazy day. It is Dennis day off so I am exercising a half hour here and there. I hate days like this but a reality. I also didn't get many photos but Pepper goes home tonight. We had a visitor seeing if she wants to board her dog here. So fun but busy and we also had Coco and Doozie arrive.

We also had the sprinkler guys here but it still feels cold. 

I want you to laugh. My clipper was missing. If I was to buy it new, it would cost $469.76 without shipping and tax. I have 2 of them. I was freaking out as I thought the garbage with the hair on the grooming room had welcomed a clipper and this is trash day so I was outside going through the garbage trying to find the one with the hair in hopes that the clipper could be retreived. I came into the house without it and Dennis was walking down the stairs with the clippers. He decided to shave with it. That is how I started my day.

I also have been printing things. This is my 2 latest things I printed.

I am getting better at printing. 

Cool But Still Sunning

Cooler weather but you can still find them soaking up those sunny rays.

The dogs have been silly crazy today enjoying the cooler weather. I went outdoors with a tshirt and went og my - cold isn't it!

I am still 3d printing and still learning but actually making things functional and attractive. 

Last night the dogs woke us up 3 times barking at gad knows what. No amount of lungs on me stopped it till it just stopped. 

Snow Really?

I apologize as I am so late but I had a long day grooming. In order for me to have tomorrow off, I go a little crazy otherwise no day off for me. It is a crazy process. But it is what it is.

I hope tomorrow is warmer or  quieter or just crawl into bed and stay day. 

I have to rush this blog as I have cleanup, dishes, pads etc. Nathan takes the dogs outside and Dennis does the floors. It is a process. Sundays I usually crawl into bed and scare the dogs with snoring. Nathan never hears a thing. Dogs - well they do and sometimes I snore and they wake me up as if they think something is wrong. It is a crazy process but I know I am loved!

Now off to do dishes. I am 8 minutes behind.
