Grandkids are here.

I am taking Thursday off vs Monday as Dennis has an appointment with the neurologist as his hands keep going numb. I hope it is not serious.

Our grand daughter wants her nails done. I never do my nails so I haven't a clue where close to us. I suppose I will watch. She wants me to get them done too. I don't wear makeup. I don't do nails. I am low maintenence. 

Puppies are infectious. We have Quinn, Stryker and Jasper rough housing. Quinn loves the girls. He is so funny. He kisses their ears, holds them down and snuggles. Like I said, he is a riot.

We had 7 dogs depart today - 2 more soon. It has been March Break and I suppose it is almost over. 

We had a dod come that is not one of ours. He is getting along more than fine though nervous initially. The dogs are so welcoming. It is nice!

What a Day

No gallery day and Dennis hardly took photos. I have am issue connecting to the server that creates and holds the galleries. I have reported it.

This is Quinn and Ellie. He was so in love with her, he saturated her back and I had to bathe multiple times till I separated them. What is it about Ellie, Quinn? You are so in love with her. She seemed the same with him. It was a riot.

The grandkids have arrived. The funeral for Bev happened today and it was emotional. Literally Amy cried at the casket. Everyone loves Amy and she is moping around here now. Major hugs I am giviong her. This shall pass. Don't tell me dogs do not grieve as they do.

Jasper and Quinn are now playing now that Ellie has departed. Winston just arrived. The dogs are having fun. We are busy and with grandkids, dogs, grooming etc you are. It is called life.

Crazy Busy

Sorry extremely busy day today so this is very short. 

The dogs enjoyed the sunshine. As I was grooming all day, I didn't get to brush everyone out but will tomorrow. I am a bit exhausted and I have to set up the basement for the grandkids that are coming to stay. I am actually looking forward to dogs cuddling in bed in a few hours after cleanup.

Dennis did a run with the dogs and he tells me they were comical and had a blast.

Messy Boys

It is raining. Dogs that were groomed can't go out. Well Stryker and Jasper did and that is when I decided no more. LOL

Tesnhi is about to leave soonish. Bailey will depart tonight. 

It is Dennis day off. I have been grooming. So hardly any photos were taken. Dennis had to have an ultrasound done so Nathan drove him and sat outside so I was it. 

Lots of pads filled up to change throughout the day. I want sunshine.

It is Nathan's day off tomorrow. I hope it is sunshine and roses and all that stuff. 

I sent Nathan out to get 3 large bags of duck treats as he didn't want to go on his day off. I get that! I paid for them with my tip money. The dogs love them so but he thinks they do not need them. The crazy things I pay for from tip money. It is amazing but the dogs and what they love - well it matters! We go through them as we have guests, grooms etc. They get one from playing games, after grooming. If I had to be groomed, well I would want a treat too and there it is and why. hahaha 

Attitude

Chase was up on top as usual getting the comfiest chair till she decides to pounce down and say time to go out! I just love this dog. Too bad but Chase is on the way home!

It was overcast today. We played a game of hide and seek. It was a riot and some either didn't want to find me and thought oh hum this is boring where others were keem.

It is funny about games. You wonder what is going through their heads. Do you play games with yours?

Thank you to everyone who made my birthday so wonderful. I truly appreciate all the kind wishes, gifts, and love.

We got this giant fruit basket from Coco the Maltese’s parents, and let me tell you, the three of us have been attacking it like it is a competitive sport. At this rate, there may be nothing left but the basket itself by tomorrow. Tenshi's mom brought pastries yesterday and they vanished faster than you can blink.

Dennis wants to watch TV. I want to do absolutely nothing productive and just enjoy my day of leisure in peace. Of course, that probably means we will watch TV, and then somehow, in the blink of an eye, it will be bedtime. Why does relaxing for five minutes always turn into losing an entire evening?

I may go to bed early. I may stay up. At this point, even I do not know. It has just been so nice not to work and instead spend time reading on my iPad, 3D printing, respooling the filament Atousa brought, and working on all the little projects I never usually get around to. Honestly, getting things done without being interrupted every five minutes feels like its own birthday gift.

I also have an Amazon gift card that I am being ridiculously picky about. Apparently I need to study every possible option like I am making a major life decision. Nathan even got popcorn and used a gift card for food, so clearly we are out here living large. I do miss Hibachi, but he promised that when the weather gets warmer, we will go. I am filing that promise away for future reference.

The dogs have been playing like maniacs indoors because it is just too cold outside. They do go out, but apparently only long enough to confirm that yes, it is still cold, and then they come charging right back in. Since then, it has been nonstop roughhousing, chaos, and entertainment, and honestly, it has made me smile all day.

The dogs loved the snow falling today but it didn't stick - which was interesting.

Very Busy Sunday

Not many photos. We had a lot of activity and I had a lot of dogs to groom. Dennis was responsible for the photo clicking.

I want to thank Sylvia, Atousa (respective spouses) , Winston's family and Ronnie and family for yum treat (different treats too) and gifts... thank you truly but Kandoo barking happy birthday was something else. It was grand.

It is already 730. I am exhausted. Dogs have had fun and I am going to pass out.

But the dogs had tremendous fun time today. 

Mad Disappearance

I groomed all day - tomorrow same and I only did 1 set of exercise. I want to crawl on to the couch and go to sleep while having the tv on but not listening to it. 

Tuppy departed and I got wonderful Turkish treats from Astro's owner and an amazon gift card from his owners. So completely nice and unexpected. Profuse appreciation! Axel and Lola got me a giftcard to Montanas and I may order from that on Tuesday. Appreciated - an understatement.

Phoenix the Havanese pulled off a full-on disappearance act this morning. We knew he was in the house because he had come downstairs, but then suddenly he was nowhere to be found. Poor Nathan was in detective mode, searching everywhere, calling his name, getting more and more dramatic by the second, while I was just trying to put out the water bowls like this was a normal morning.

And where was Phoenix during this household emergency? Curled up in the back of the crate behind Cinnamon like a tiny furry fugitive in witness protection. Nathan finally finds him, and Phoenix has the audacity to look at us like, “Excuse me, do you people mind? I was resting.” Imagine causing absolute panic and then acting offended that you were located. I so LOVE the dogs. They so make us laugh. 

A number of dogs are departing. March Break is coming to an end and it almost feels quiet here.

Hope you also had an event-filled day. You need these days to get the heart pumping. 

Funny Moments

It’s March Break, and we are having way too much fun. People come to the door, hear the chaos, and say, “Listen to that!” LOL. It really is a blast.

I am absolutely exhausted today. Last night, the dogs kept licking my face over and over, and for one brief, foolish moment I thought, wow, they really love me. Turns out, there was a duck treat under my pillow.

So no, they were not fighting over me. They were competing for the snack. Humbling, really. But honestly, I appreciate them telling it like it is.

The dogs ran into the rabbit that lives in our yard again, and at this point I am convinced she is becoming one of the family. She is completely unbothered. The dogs surround her like a furry security team, and she just stands there acting like she pays the mortgage. Then, out of nowhere, she starts binkying and tearing around the yard like she owns the place.

Spring is clearly going to be absolute chaos, and apparently the rabbit is ready to be part of it. The question is, are the dogs ready for it?

Visit

Charlie came to visit to see if she could get along with the havanese and they get along with her. It was a huge success. We would welcome her here anytime.

Mr. Marco departed. WE miss him already. He had an interesting time - one filled with fun, new friends and stolen bed. He was delightful.

Neesi and Astro are really 2 peas in a pod and Neesi tells her housemate, Jasper off. WE have a puppy fun house with Winston, Lola joining in on the fun. Funny when Lola is not paying attention to Axel, he seems to go - hey you are MY pal not theirs. So funny how they act differently than home.

Dogs had their feast. I need to as well. I am so hungry. lol

On the otherhand, Marco, I caught in the gallery getting miffed as Daisy made a mad dash to the bed he likes. I swear she did it on purpose. Down his tail went as if to say REALLY - human help me. That is MY bed. 

The dogs are having fun. It is mighty cold again. Such a tease - this weather. 

I received a wonderful package of filament for my birthday from Sherry.... amazing and so appreciative!

As I type, dogs are barking, playing and having a grand old time. Oh to be a dawg!

Are We Having Fun Yet?

There is so much activity that they stand in line waiting for their nap with Nathan. I have to laugh. He has so many that want to go now. They play so hard, they need that chill out.

It was Dennis day off so it was me and the dogs mostly - Nathan for a nap. I was washing floors and they would walk through the wet part. It was an experience. But it was a funny experience.

Their play was almost like my exercise - flow with movement here and there. In many ways it was a dance and they were enjoying. 

Beverly and Amy

It is with grave sadness I am posting we lost Bev (Amy's mom) to Corticobasal degeneration, which is a rare, progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects movement, cognition, and speech due to brain cell loss in the cerebral cortex and basal ganglia.

Services will be posted for those that cared and loved her when we know. Amy is residing here. She was able to see her before she died.

Anyone who came to the picnic got to meet such a wonderful being. More news as we know. It is a rare and insidious disease and she was first told she had Parkinsons but they were wrong.

Dancing Fun in the Morn

Play starts as soon as they get up. It is a riot. They need to have fun before the meals are created.

Here is a short video of just 2 dogs playing today. We could have kept the video going all day and saw play.

I know I say it all the time but they really do play from morning till night and they catch their breath, nap and continue. They also have tv time from this room or that. It truly is a fun house. 

I want to be a dog and have fun not just watch the fun. LOL

New Faces New Fun

You see Jasper the puppy that just arrived today? He is gleeful and his hoysemate Neesi goes - great - I get to laze on the human and he can have puppy fun and puppy fun he has had. He wouldn't settle down for a nap but we shall see what tomorrow brings. They arrived late so too much excitement was in store. Who needs a nap?

What can I say about Smores? He is a delicious - well almost called him a human bring but sometimes he acts that way. 

Leo departed today. We already miss him. He is so golden on the table. Tuppy was caught snuggling up to Dennis, Yes, I caught him. I could go on but I won't. Just realize every single one is having a blast - all havs and a non havanese. LOL

We are ordering pizza in as we are tired and they just added a delivery charge of almost 5 dollars. They say as gas is so high. 

Puppy Fun

Eevee is in the house till tonight having a complete blast. Safi is so thrilled she is visiting. She was amazing her her blow dry and cut.

We have wild and silly play in the house with the visitors. Fun is the operative word.

Snow arrived then snowballs then colder and no more snowballs. 

Dennis is out with new friends so it is just Nathan and I. That means I can watch tv with the dogs and it is all about my lap. I don't have to share. LOL

I am exceedingly tired but that is okay and yes, I am still 3d printing. lol 

Long Day

Can you believe all this White stuff? The dogs were happy but we had mega snowballs on dogs so I was busy today. It has been an insane day as you can probably guess with me doing the blog just before bed.

I am late too as 9pm is when I start doing water dishes, cleaning etc

So, unfortunately, if I want to get into bed, it is going to be a short blog.

Did you deal with snowballs too? 

Will this remain or will we get rain. I haven't had the time to look.

Dogs came - dogs went and play indeed occurred snowballs and all. 

No matter how tired I am, we always make sure the dogs have fun. Personally, I think they appreciate it and honestly, it makes me smile.

Melting Away

Astro and Charlotte really enjoy each other's company. They will play and play. Do you think they realize they look similar? 

They say it is going to get cold again but I say enjoy the moments while you can. Things are melting. Looks mighty grubby out there.When it all melts, we start cleanup. The cedars are getting greener. 

The dogs love this inbetween weather - humans too. 

Jamie was busy trying to pilfer the fridge. Are we not feeding him enough? LOL Maybe it is good smelling food. Marco was running like the wind outside trying to get the dogs chasing him. Was he a success? Partially. I swear the dogs are lazy today!
