Are You Ok?

Squalls, rain and overcast. It has been a day. Life is good and fun no matter what the weather. You just adjust and enjoy whatever you can.

Dennis had a huge run with the dogs and they got soaked. I am slowly brushing them out and drying. Each day when we do not have clothes to wash and dry, Dennis makes sure we do needing, dog beds, couch covers etc. One can't do a day without washing, can we? It seems to be the case here.

It is Nathan's day off so he is vegging. 

We have arrived at rain saturation where water sits on top of the ground and attempts to disperse. I can't imagine the animals that live under ground and how they cope. 

The Snuffle mat from Sherrie is a raging hit though the puppy visiting here ate the plastic that holds it down. I shake my head at the thought. Puppies try everything.

Pool Cover Fun and All

Inside and out fun was had by the dogs. 

Nathan had his nap with dogs that wanted to nap with him. It is Dennis bday so he has been chilling not having to do pickup, camera clicking etc

I have a dog to wash. Nathan has tomorrow off. 

Tchibo departs tomorrow. We will miss him.

Rain and more rain. Hardly any photos. Play they did and the snuffle mat is a huge hit. 

Tomorrow is Dennis birthday so he gets his 2nd day off this week. Nathan will wait till Saturday for his. 

I have been busy doing blankets, sheets, dog beds etc. 2 days of laundry and we are not done and we do this a lot but usually not all at once. I had a mound almost as tall as my ceiling. I should have taken a photo of it as it did look mighty hilarious and then the dogs ran through it and suddenly it was everywhere.

Yes, it was mighty funny!

Warm But Wet

It is wet but warm outdoors. The dogs do get out when it is not raining. I hear tell down south of us no rain. Go figure.

I have done a lot of grooming today so I am rather tired so forgive me for making the blog short today. 

This visiting puppy ate my plants that was coming up. Yep - a puppy. What are we to do. LOL

oooh Nice Gift

Sherry brought the dogs a snuffle mat that Murphy doesn't use and they LOVED it! I took the powder from the duck treats and spread it in. They went absolutely nuts over it.

Weather is good. It is Dennis day off and he has been downtown with medical appt and he gets Friday off as it is his birthday. Two days off in a week. 

Weather is good. The sun is shining and the dogs are loving it. I have our windows open. It is wonderful to feel the fresh air. Hope you are doing the same.

Wet Warm and Rain

It is mighty warm outdoors but we did have rain then it stopped. I guess we are into spring here.

The dogs played. They had a ton of fun.

I Smell Something

Logan smells steak on the counter and is hopeful. He will be rewarded tonight. At his age standing on his back legs, he so deserves it, don't you think. Yum humans - you feed us well. Well, we so love you!

I did a lot of grooming today. I actually just finished. Can't let the dogs out due to the rain but still they are having fun. Rather them use the pads than rinse them off and blow dry and brush. 

Is the snow over? Dennis bday is the 17th and he often gets a present of snow so it is not over till it is over.

We haven't seen Dante and Luna for sometime and they came to play and get groomed. It is delightful to spend time with them. 

TV time coming up and snuggles. Can't get better than that! 

Siblings and More

These 2 are siblings - Brodie the dark one and Riley the apricot one - gial and boy and they were delighted to see each other. After all this time, it was nice. She is so much Hallie in spirit!

I have an upset tummy. Eating Tums but it is not helping. 

We had visitors depart. The dog have been playing and playing. 

Someone has decided my fridge was a fire hydrant. We are working on correcting that. 

The dogs always keep you on your toes but I am crawling on to the couch. My tummy demands it.

OMG Messy Times

The dogs are mighty messy due to the rain. I have to do this blog quickly as I have a lot of comb-outs to do - so forgive me as I really just want to crawl on to the couch and chill with dogs. 

Keeping Marlee and Lachlan clean was exceedingly funny as Dennis would let them out and I would have to wash them again - yes again. I screamed - DON"T LET THEM OUT. Picture a crazy lady saying this.

Getting Warmer

It has been a mighty busy day. I am about to sit down with dogs and watch tv. Don't even have the energy to eat but it is warm outdoors. Sun is shining. Dogs have been playing. 

Ms Nava was just combed out and Bailey was highly curious about movement in the bushes but no - not a rabbit. It was Stryker. He can be mighty mischievous at times and he surprised Bailey in a fun way.

No Treats

One would think he had treats but nope - just him playing with the dogs and them excited about it. It happens many times a day with all of us. That connection that makes life worth living - fun!We really try to do that with every single dog that visits.

Bedtimes are adventures too. We go out to do their business last thing and then upstairs to play and run while we get ready for bed. Always kisses are involved in and out of bed. Something exciting about bedtime snuggles that makes the experience extra special. We all look forward to it and can't imagine doing without.

Neesi and Jasper departed earlier. Sam is departing now. Ms Cassie and Coco the maltese already departed. Coco the Havanese and Rocco departing tonight. Jax gets to stay another night. 

Nicky is a fun dream dog. She is such a character. Of course we have the puppy who is starting to understand my ankles are not to be chewed on. 

So many changes but everyone is having a TOM of fun.

I want to thank Nessie and Jasper's parents for Hendricks and a pie slice that these guys in my life think it is theirs. 

Late Night

Sorry - late night so short blog. I just finished my 8th dog grooming. I am exhausted so the blog will be short. Everyone had a blast and some even crowded me while I groomed. I just want to go to sleep but got dishes to do and all the things we do before crawling into bed. Of course Nathan goes up a half hour earlier. LOL 

Look who is playing on the cover. It was a fun day. Lots of dogs departing tomorrow.

Lots of Changes

It is really really messy and it rained today. Dennis is pumping off the pool.

I have a ton to groom the next 2 days so my day off is not my day off on Monday. I did cut down the face of Neesi and shortened her body. I like that you can see her face. She looks so darn cute.

This puppy we have visiting is an ankle biter in a HUGE way. He ignores Nathan's ankles but not Dennis and I.

Our company is gone. 

The house is actually quiet. Can you imagine that? 

Tuppy's parents bought me an Amazon gift card so I bought filament - of course - what else would you buy? LOL It is truly appreciated.

The son that went to France brought me home black licorice that doesn't taste like black licorice. Even Dennis tested it and went wow this is different. It is interesting how that happens when it is from another country. One would think it was all the same?

I do not think I ate today except bacon that I made for the dogs who thought I didn't make enough. Ok, I ate some. They looked at me cross-eyed and rightly so. It was supposed to be for them. Logan thought he was in heaven. Love the old dogs loving food.

Messy Backyard

It is a warm day. It is messy as everything outdoors. We need to hose the backyard till it is crytal clean but not today. We have water on the top of the pool cover. The puppy we are watching keeps running through it. Well, everyone now does. 

We have company. It is chaos but fun. Tomorrow family departs and it gets quieter but my grooming steps up. Monday is normalcy LOL

So, this blog is short. Apologies but after family departs, I vow to do better.

Wet Day Mess

It is my day off. Dogs are getting messy. I will no doubt have to play catchup in grooming tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the last day that the girls are visiting us. They depart early Saturday so I am washing clothes and getting them ready to depart. We are supposed to go out to eat tomorrow night. 

The kids really really like the dogs and they like them. As they are older, it is not as chaotic. We will miss them and so will the dogs.

Mr. Quinn departed today. Happy to come, happy to depart. It is how it is supposed to be.

This puppy we are watching is a massive ankle biter. I feel like I need to print guards for my legs.

Well, off to sit with the dogs and grandkids as time is running out.

Nail Time

We have a non havanese here - a cavapoo. He is only 10 weeks and is staying here as mom is in hospital getting surgery. He is a handful and thinks Nathan shoots the moon. Oh, the puppies love him.

Nathan was doing Nava's nails. I can do them but he has to do something to split the grooming $$. LOL Well, Nava was vocal and this puppy was highly curious on why she was using her voice. It is only the 1st day here so we will wait to do his nails. He did take a nap for 30 minutes and that's all he would do but he has a lot of dogs to play with and that he is. 

No rain day so it is a bit easier. 

I am making a spinning toy for the grandkids and hoping it comes out. We shall see.

It is Passover tonight and Good Friday/Easter this week. We wish everyone that celebrates to have a memorable holiday. 

The dogs ARE having fun! Plus they have 2 grandkids that love dogs to play with them and they are. Though one is 13 and thinks messaging on a phone - well she would die if she can'

Wet But Warm Day

This is Luna, Quinns sister. She was here to play and get groomed. She is such a fun dog.

It has been wet outside so dogs are getting mighty messy. I have been drying and combing out a ton. I have yet to exercise but will minimally. That is what happens when it is wet and you have company.

Brodie and Stryker have been playing up a storm. It is wonderful to watch. Nathan took a video. I will have to upload it.

You will also see Quinn and his sister playing and playing and playing.

Ms. Tenshi said you expect me to go out and get my feet wet. I laughed where Cassie thought it was great fun to get extra messy.

Really Warm for March

Small gallery.

It is 70f 21c. It is a magical warm day and we can now see how much cleanup we have on our plates. I bet everyone does.

I think tomorrow we have Quinn's sister coming for play and a groom. We shall see if he remembers her. 

Dogs have not been active today. They have been out a number of times and just laid out in the sun. It is as if they said ah warm weather is here - let's just soak it in and can you blame them? Humans like to do that too!

My day off is this Thursday so I so hope for warm weather so I can just sit outside and soak with the dogs too. 

I am printing a tool holder for my grooming stuff. It is taking 8 hours and 36 minutes. I laugh as it will be finished after bed but so far it is coming out but I am on my last black. I need to order more. 

Grandkids are out with the daughter going to Ripleys and a Blue Jays game so late tonight. It is quiet here.

Windows are open. It feels wonderful!
